This page explains what data the Star website collects and how we use and protect it.
Orders
When you order from the store we keep your name, phone number and email address, the address and country if you choose delivery, the products and their options (storage and colour), the payment method and any note you write. We use them only to confirm, prepare and deliver the order and to issue the tax invoice. Nothing is paid on the website; you pay on delivery or pickup, in cash or by card.
Warranty and repairs
We link the order number and the device’s serial number to your details to handle warranty and repairs. When you hand us a device for repair or data transfer, we only look at its contents as far as needed to do what you asked, and we keep no copy.
Accounts and the contact form
- Customer accounts: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), addresses and order history.
- The contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, kept in the website’s dashboard.
- WhatsApp: if you message us there, the chat is also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and what your browser keeps
We use only the cookies we need: for signing in, for keeping your cart during your visit and for protecting forms from automated messages. Your browser also keeps a copy of the cart to speed pages up. The “map” link opens the maps website in a new window; nothing is loaded from it on our pages. We use no tracking or advertising tools, and you can clear all of this by deleting this site’s data in your browser.
Retention and your rights
Orders and invoices are kept for five years for accounting, as the law requires, warranty records for the length of the warranty, and contact messages for twelve months. You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or the deletion of your account at any time from the contact page, and we reply within thirty days.
